Presentation of the laboratory MAS
The MAS laboratory is the research laboratory for Mathematics and Computer Science of École Centrale Paris. Founded in 2003, it was originally a group of independent teams. Gradually, a matrix structure superimposed itself to the original team structure, accounting for the scientific areas of interest common to several research projects.
The research activities at MAS follow three main axes:
- Partial differential equations and Scientific computing
- Computer science
- Probabilistic modelling and Statistics
The research teams can be formed by researchers motivated by a particular field of application: plant growth modelling, quantitative finance, business intelligence… or by a common approach to mathematical modelling: formal methods in computer science, probabilistic modelling…
The research teams are listed below
- Business Intelligence
- Digiplante
- LogiMAS
- Partial differential equations and Scientific computing
- Probabilistic modelling
- Quantitative finance
Visit the webpage "Teams of the laboratory MAS" for more information.
Strong connections exist between MAS and its scientific partners, be they academic or industrial:
Collaborations with one or several research teams at INRIA, CEA, ENS Cachan, Ecole Polytechnique, INRA, LIAMA, Supelec, Université Paris Sud, Université Paris-Dauphine, Institut Telecom...
Structuring partnerships - possibly taking the form of research chairs - with industrial partners such as BNP Paribas, EADS, SAP/ Business Objects…
