Applied Mathematics and Systems Department ( MAS )
Created at the turn of the century, the Applied Mathematics and Systems Department of the Ecole Centrale Paris (MAS in french) gathers Ecole Centrale Paris research in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science.
At the heart of information technologies, it is mainly focused on modelling, simulation, analysis and optimisation of complex systems (industry, life and health, markets or information and networks) along three major axes:
- Scientific engineering and visualization
- Information processing - Data and Images
- Information Systems engineering
All these activities are carried out in close collaboration with French and international research teams (notably INRIA, CEA, Supélec, ENS-Cachan and China's LIAMA) as well as through long-term industrial partnerships (Chairs BNP-Paribas, SAP-Business Objects) and multi-partner collaborative projects (particulary within Paris Region's Pôle System@tic).
