Biosketch (full CV)

I received the Diploma and Ph.D. degrees in 2001 and 2006 from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering in NTUA , working in the Computer Vision and Signal Processing group.
During 2004 I was also with Odyssee at INRIA Sophia Antipolis.
After obtaining my Ph.D. I worked as a postdoc at the Center for Image and Vision Sciences, in UCLA between 2006 and 2008.

As of Sep. 2008 I have joined Ecole Centrale Paris as Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics. I am a member of the Orasis laboratory and the joint ECP-INRIA-Saclay Research team GALEN.

Research

My research is on probabilstic approaches to vision.
I am particularly interested in combining low- and high- level vision problems in a single probabilistic framework. I have also worked on image and signal processing problems, while I am broadly interested in the probabilistic modelling of systems with uncertainty. Read More
